I was in a griffons mood (as though I’m ever in any other kind of mood) so I doodled some of the griffonified Hawkes from @mikkeneko‘s Blood Feathers.

I meant to have this for yesterday wrt Kandersgiving but OH WELL

Anyway, I’ve been kicking around an AU where Anders is sent to the Kirkwall Circle and Karl becomes a Grey Warden. And in this AU, Karl is in Kirkwall legitimately (Hey, Vigil’s Keep is full of Templars, you think I can get reassigned? Sure, I’d love to go to the Free Marches with Stroud!) and requisitions a healer from the Gallows to help refugees and for no other reasons at all, don’t be ridiculous. 

Hawke finds the Warden, which means he finds the Healer, and he is Delighted. When Anders’s templar minder is, for example, Thrask, who is willing to look the other way, Hawke will drag both of them to the Hanged Man. It’s hard to not like Hawke, and he makes Anders laugh, so Karl’s more-or-less fine with it (and is not at all jealous when Anders and Hawke flirt at each other terribly.)

Also, Justice is still Kristoff (for now – this doodle is act I). He came to the Marches with Karl because again, Templars were getting touchy about the possessed corpse. 

Doodling elfs

Here’s Moth Lavellan’s rubbish family, specially his parents and his Great Aunt Amara. Dad Lavellan is the guy you go to if you need an Aravel wheel made or repaired. Mom Lavellan helps wrangle Halla. They did not expect their son to be a mage, their son did not expect to be a mage, he’s not particularly good at being a mage so Clan Lavellan kind of just lets him learn woodworking from his dad and tool around on his dumb tiny guitar. 

Auntie Amara and her little sister are city elves originally who joined up with Clan Lavellan. The easiest way to describe Auntie Amara is Old Lesbian Nanny Ogg with a Broadsword.

(Moth’s got his mom’s coloring but otherwise looks a lot like his dad and is also constantly fretting just like his dad.)
