Adaars in Vitaars! Thing of (some of) my Qunari Inquisitors that I’m probably not going to finish. 

Headcanons under the readmore.

Left to right are Taashath, Saarmerad, and Asaranda Adaar (thanks Qunlat dicitionary on the DA Wiki!). Saarmerad “Samira” Adaar is my “Canon” Inquisitor and the oldest, at 30-ish. Headcanon says she was actually born under the Qun but her Tama ran away with her when she was a kid and fell in love with a Tal-Vashoth mage and they all settled down in the Free Marches and had two more Baby Adaars (the left and right, who are about 20 and about 22, respectively). She was an unplanned mage and came into her magic early, and her Tama had A Crisis Of Faith about handing a five-year-old over to be made saarebas. Samira is technically Tal-Vashoth but considers herself Vashoth since she didn’t make the decision to leave. 

And since I’m already on a roll: Samira is a KE, Asa is an assassin-rogue, and Taashath pretends to be a battle-mage but is really a better healer than anything else. He can also play the lute. The family settled near Starkhaven at the end, and as the generations progress the Starkhaven accent gets progressively thicker. 

Samira goes to be a mercenary early on, but after Sebastian Vale goes on his FUCK YOU ANDERS AND EVERY THING YOU STAND FOR crusade post DA:II, the apostate-adaar-family decide to get the heck out of dodge while the going’s still good and meet up with the Valo-Kas and their eldest daughter.
