Hot Dad Glaurung is honestly probably closer to my headcanon for the Fire Drake of Gondolin – a much more refined, polished, dragony beastie. While Kaiju Nightmare Glaurung feels more… crude and horrible and like the kind of thing Morgoth would throw at the massed armies of the Noldor as a surprise “fuck you, isn’t this awful? >:D” 

tbh horrible demon lizard Glaurung is best Glaurung. I based his body plan abstractly on my bearded dragon when he gets all disagreeable and pancakey and poofs himself up big.
